comeback

Here I am again, dear OD, back from hiatus… meaning, I was sick for a week and had to bed rest. Well, not exactly bed rest, because I was still traveling a lot for my PT sessions, and some errands. Although the doctor advised total bed rest. No wonder I’m still feeling a bit tired and weak.

Baby Marc turned one year old last Tuesday. Same day I had to leave him and go to the hospital upon waking up, instead of cooking what we had planned to cook for his birthday.

Sunday morning I already had a sore throat but I dismissed it for sore throat, or tonsillitis (I get it a lot). But come Monday, it’s worse and I feel weak already and I just wanted to sleep. So I wasn’t able to work. In the evening, I already had runny nose and clogged nose so I couldn’t sleep because I couldn’t breathe.

When I woke up at 830 in the morning, I went to the bathroom and was about to gargle, but when I spit, it was blood that came out. So I spit again, still blood. I checked my nose, I blow, it’s also blood. For 10 minutes, all blood coming out of my mouth and nose. It wasn’t a nose bleed, either.

So I panicked. We showered and went straight to the clinic. The ENT inserted 4 long sticks with cotton at the end inside my nostrils for 4 minutes. It was so uncomfortable that there were tears streaming from my eyes and I can’t wipe them for fear of touching the sticks and causing more discomfort. Worse, I could stick it through my nose all the way to my brain. Worst, Hubby had the gall to take a picture of me while in my most uncomfortable situation.

Oh, well. After clinic, we still had time to prepare some food for baby’s birthday dinner, but after cooking the pasta sauce, I left hubby to bake the cakes and had my much-needed bed rest.

Right now, baby Marc is still adjusting to a new milk formula, because the one that his pedia recommended for him was vanilla-flavored and he did not like it. He just vomited so we had to find another kind. He also did not like, so this morning, I bought 4 different kinds of milk formula. We’re trying to find which one he’d like and stick to it. I hope he’ll choose the cheapest.

Okay, time to work.

it’s me,
