reminiscing

Talked to a colleague regarding herbs in our garden. She brought a couple of mint stalks today in the office and gave one to her seatmate and I got the other one.

I was going to give her one of our thyme plants but due to the recent rainy days, I’m afraid some of the stalks din not survive. Even our rosemary died. But we still have some that I could bring to the office for her to plant in her house. Anyway, she has rosemary and offered to give me a root to plant.

We talk about these things during our "tea time" – that’s what we call our chat time whenever I pass by their cubicle on my way to and from the water dispenser. We normally talk about recipes, nutritious foods to cook and serve, healthy options, plants, recycling, environment-friendly tips, etc.

Anyway, lately, I’ve been getting lots and lots of sleep. I sleep at 2am or 3am, then wake up at 6am or 7am, then play with baby Marc, have breakfast, then read a book, then sleep again at 9am until 11am or 12nn. Oh, wait, that’s not a lot, just about 6hrs. Hahaha! Anyway, it’s still a lot, considering my previous dilemma. I think this is because of exercise. I visit the gym 2 days in a row, then rest, then another 2 days if possible. So that’s about 3-4 times a week of gym time. I really hope I lose my post-pregnancy pounds. For my knees’ sake (arthritis) and for my heart’s sake (hypertension). Plus, it keeps my hormone levels at bay. My TSH and FT3, FT4 levels are on the normal side for 3 months now, and I intend to keep exercising so I won’t have to deal with another lifetime disease – hypothyroidism. At least mine is still sub-clinical.

Baby Marc is eating fruits and veggies for a month now. He likes watermelon, banana, apple. Hates squash and papaya.

Hope this is viewable. 🙂

Here’s baby Marc hating the squash puree.
