another boring update! :)

today was a good day!  i had a pretty easy time at work, the kids were well behaved, and i have only a little grading to do tonight.  i might even do it tomorrow since i have no meetings planned. 

i went to the mall after work and picked up an application at the little carousel ride place.  i worked there before, when i was in college, and even a bit into my first year of teaching.  i need the extra income, even if it is only a little bit.  that little bit will help my savings account or my credit card debt!  i also walked around for a hour looking in the stores and checking stuff out.  i can add that to my activity points for the week.  i got 2 christmas presents bought today.  i got my brother a solitaire chess game from brookstone and i ordered my best friend a gone with the wind figurine.  and, i know what i want to get my future sister in law, i just need to go out and buy it.  i’m thinking she would like an infinity scarf.  i like them, and they are pretty trendy right now, so i think i’m gonna try to find a nice one for her.  maybe, if i do online shopping, i can get almost all my christmas stuff done before thanksgiving!  that would be FANTASTIC!!!  i’m going with a girlfriend to the outlets this weekend so i hope to get a few things up there too. 

i did pick up the house a bit last night and it looked so nice when i got home.  i did more dishes tonight and took out some trash.  i still need to empty the little trash cans and put laundry away.  i also went to the library and got a few more books to read at night 🙂  i love the library!  in the summer, i can read a book a day, especially if i am at the beach or the pool!  during the school year, it takes a few more days since i read at bedtime and i end up falling asleep most nights. 🙂  i’m supposed to go to a jewelry/book swap party the first weekend in december so i’m excited about that!  i’m also going on a girls weekend that weekend so it might be tough.  the book party is sunday and the girls weekend will be fri-sun morning.  if we leave early enough, i’m sure i can get back in time to make it to the party.  at least i hope so!!  last year, the girls weekend was sooooooooo cold!  this year, i’m bringing hand warmers and boot warmers!  its a midnight madness shopping party thing on the eastern shore and its so much fun!  snacks and drinks and good sales and chances to win gift baskets.  so, i can get more christmas shopping done and party at the same time!  🙂
