The Red Rose Whispers of Passion

I’ve had this poem stuck in my head for days, ever since a conversation about roses.

The red rose whispers of passion,
And the white rose breathes of love;
O the red rose is a falcon,
And the white rose is a dove.

But I send you a cream white rosebud
With a flush on its petal tips;
For the love that is purest and sweetest
Has a kiss of desire on the lips.

– John Boyle O’Reilly  "A White Rose"

I’ve been stressed lately, down and stressed.  My plan to escape for a while today and lounge in the sunlight has been foiled by the liquid sunshine that we get here in Washington.  So I have to come up with another way to spend the day.  I think I’m just tired.  Emotionally, mentally, and physically tired.  And cold, can’t forget cold.

I keep telling myself that I have an appointment with the doctor coming up and this’ll all get ‘fixed/’ but I wonder if that’s not a case of fixing the symptom and ignoring the cause.  The therapist was supposed to help with that part, but she’s… well… I haven’t seen her in months and it’s annoying that everytime I try to go and see her, they have to reschedule me three or so times.  ::shakes her head:: I’m thinking that I’m just going to stop going, or find another therapist.  I’m coming to the end of my free sessions too, so yeah.

I’m hungry.  I just realized that.  I’m going to have to get something to eat soon.

I think I’m going to work on my maile and hide in my room for most of the day.  I have books up there and the like.  A bunch of comics from Courtenay that I have to read.  But no food.  Gotta get foods.

RYN: That would be awesome haha! I was thinking about that yesterday how if I had people that came over regularly (other than my brothers and the kids) I could be like Hey!! Let’s play video games and they’d get all excited thinking I had a Wii or a playstation or something only to be disappointed when they saw my original 1989, K-Mart Layaway Nintendo lol oh well it keeps me occupied! ~♥~

that day my brothers and I were playing Pin-Bot, Brother A held up his phone and said “it’s amazing how this thing has more memory than the nintendo” LOL ~♥~

Re: I think it’s called… um… New Worlds. I haven’t really started playing yet because I’ve been too wrapped up in the character creation, and I’ve started it late at night, so I’ve been too tired. But I’m getting there! I’ll play with you in any game! Just let me know. 🙂

I’ll just be a box-pusher for this tour. I have another show set up for early next month for myself, though. Not keen on the idea as it still scares the piss out of me, but have to get out there somehow. I’m getting a Palm Pixi Plus. Fairly basic as ‘smart’ phones go, but I liked it much more than the iPhone, even though the screen is half the size. Just easier to use for me. Free helps. -CF

Most ‘smart’ phones are set up very well to be used for social networking. The phone I’m getting is actually even set up to automatically add and update contact info from my friends on facebook. It’s kind of neat, but kind of creepy all at once. -CF

Indeed. We are very quickly approaching a ‘big brother’ type scenario due to technology. It seems fun and useful, but really it is quite frightening when you get down to the brass tacks of it. -CF
