I Am a Good Daughter

Don’t have much to say, the day’s still young but I do have proof that I’m a good daughter.

I was sleeping happily this morning when I heard a knock on the door.  Looked at the clock and realized that Mom was due home any minute, so I jumped out of bed, yelled that I was on my way down, and sprinted towards the door.  >.> In the midst of all the excitement, I forgot that I had taken my slippers off in front of the door so when I was opening the door  it came as a surprise as I tripped over my slippers and slammed my head into the corner of the damned door.

I’m having flashbacks from childhood, I swear.  Or maybe I’m regressing.

I have a scar (dent) in my forehead from when I did that as a toddler.  I’m just lucky I don’t have another one to match it.

I can only guess what Mom heard as she was coming in.  But I don’t think it was expected.

I even forgot to turn off my alarm clock. x.x

I have a scar on one of my eyebrows from running full steam into a door that my sister slammed into my face. I didn’t learned the lesson then though, since I did it again later and got a scar on my lip.

RYN: I wasn’t much of a Salinger fan either (forced to read CitR in 11th grade, among others), I just found it morbidly interesting when I heard that he had died. It was just “Wow, he wasn’t that far away from here.” As for my hair, it comes down just a wee bit past my shoulder blades. The people at work like to braid it on occasion.

ryn: Its Bikram yoga. Google it. I’ve done it before. Its amazing. You sweat all of the toxins out of your body while you are doing it. My skin always looks amazing for a few days after it.
