Updates

Its been a while between updates! Cant believe how busy we’ve been. Seems there has been something on every day that I wasnt working (which has been crazy busy anyway!) and with Kati working a bit now I’ve been on extra babysitting duties with River!

We just found out we need to find a new place to live now too. A few weeks ago I spoke to the landlord and she said that she is happy for us to stay till we are ready to go and she will sell then. I got a rent assistance renewal form from our family assistance and because she is now getting involved with centrelink to get the pension, she doesnt want to claim that she is renting to us, so she has decided she will sell now instead and we have to go. Its probably good in some ways to go to a new place, but we aren’t going to get as much space at such a good price. We were paying $240/week for a 2 bedroom house with separate kitchen/lounge/dining/ huge bathroom/separate laundry and a little yard and heaps of storage. It was a great price a year ago when we first got it. Now, we are looking at tiny units that are between 300-350/week for 2 bedroom, some only 1 bedroom. I really hate Sydney prices, I’ve been waiting to get out of here for years, but it just never seems the right time and Kati wants to stay. I have the feeling we are going to be here for another few years yet, we’ll probably never leave 🙁

We are going away this weekend down to Victoria too, its just for a few days but it will be nice to be away. Timing might not be great knowing we have to move, but I think it some ways it will be good to get away and rest for a couple days befre moving again. We’ll see how we go anyway!

Anyway, Im at work now and got to get back to it. One day I’ll get around to a proper update and reading/noting everyone, but with the pending move thats likely not going to be for a while 🙁
