Last night was another restless one. River seemed to be needing a feed all through the night. I think it was because she slept too well through the day, I had a feeling it might have been like that! Kati was busy cleaning for the day, so didnt get her nap which meant she was a little emotional and tired today. River lost her cord stump last night too! She seemed a little distressed when it fell off, she was very vocal with her crying, so I hope it didnt hurt her too much. Kati was doing a change and it just dropped off. It was a bit scabby around, but hopefully it will heal ok.

She has her hearing test tomorrow morning at 9.30 (I’ll be sure to let you know how that goes Bill, given your expertise in the area!).  Got a few other appointments this week, in fact its looking to be a pretty full last week home before I go back to work We have set aside a day this weekend to go for a day trip with River too, so that will be a nice way to end my time off, I dont know how Im going to be able to go back to work after 3 weeks off! Thats the longest time off in a row I’ve had since school I think!

Oh, and the washing machine broke today Couldnt have really happened at a worse time, but thankfully we are pretty up to date with washing, I’ll get someone to come out and look at it on Friday or something. Its the second machine to die on us this year (mind you both were bought on ebay for around $50 each, so we didnt do too badly!). Its a 6kg capacity so it does a decent load. Any less than that and I wouldnt bother fixing it, I’d just throw it out and get another one. Speaking of ebay, my work confirmed they dont pay 1 week paternity leave, but I managed to get a whole lot of stuff up on ebay last week, and it all ended up selling to around the same amount I make in a week anyway! So that was convenient!

Anyway, time to head off to bed now so we can be up in the morning for our trip to the hospital, River is having her last meal before we go to sleep, I hope its a big one to knock her right out for a few hours!
