Cleveland rocks … in some parts!

Cleveland, huh.

  • Tuesday = 12 hours of traveling — car ride, Grease songs, bus, airport, flight, smelly guy, RTA, nice hotel, naps, Starbucks, Hard Rock, more naps, tour and drinks with Tim and girlfriend
  • Wednesday = Slept in later than planned, Case for appt, more Case wandering, walk to Coventry (thanks a lot, undergrad admissions desk guy *end sarcasm*), Chipotle, Caribou Coffee. Later — meet potential roommate, dinner, early bed, yeah?
  • Thursday = Case tour @ 10a, Indians game @ 12p, stuff and things and stuff.
  • Friday = possible apartment hunting, airport around 6p, leave @ 844p.

Observations:

  • As a Californian, I am constantly looking for Hispanic people. There are none; they’ve been “replaced” by black people.
  • Downtown Cleveland looks like a barer downtown San Francisco. Downtown Seattle is waaay prettier.
  • Amazing architecture — lots of brick and stone = love. In Fresno, amazing architecture is nonexistent, practically illegal. In Fresno, stucco = love (ick!!!).
  • Lots of tattooed people here. Are there fewer tattoos in California or are they less visible?
  • I’m the trendiest person in Cleveland. I’ve never been the trendiest person anywhere. And people here don’t wear jeans very much — much more khaki/cargo pants/drab colors.
  • Bryan’s starting to look at me like he’s bored. 🙂 I love this boy; I hope I can love Cleveland someday.
