coming out of hiding

Wow! I didn’t realize it had been so long since I was on OD! I have been pretty sucked into facebook and a bulletin board, and I haven’t had much time to be online due to work and family. Not really much of an excuse, but it is all I’ve got.

We’ve had a lot going on since I last posted. Chris started medication for his psoriasis, and that treatment, while harsh, has been doing awesome.

Aiden has started talking A LOT! He’s also already recognizing letters (all but 3) and numbers (1 to 12). He’s not even 2 yet, so we are trying to figure out how to handle challenging him mentally. He’s really a smart little guy (not wanting to sound like a bragging mom… everyone has told me that), and I have a feeling we are going to get a run for our money if he keeps up at this pace.

I’m still enjoying my part time position at Aspire Indiana (formerly BehaviorCorp). I really fel like I’m growing everyday from working there, and it seems to be helping me improve my interpreting skills. I’m also still doing a decent bit of freelance work and enjoying it as well.

We had a wonderful Christmas and a (mostly) uneventful New Year. I feel truly fortunate, even though Chris still isn’t working right now. He’s getting some important bonding time with Aiden, and that is worth more than any money he could be bringing into our family.

I hope everyone had a good holiday season. Off to change Aiden and start getting him settled down for bedtime.
