Update on us

My birthday was on Tuesday, and I worked most of the day. When I wasn’t working, Chris took care of me, which was nice. He took me out for lunch, and he had dinner ready when I got home. It was really sweet!

Christmas was good, if not a bit excessive. Aiden got way too much stuff, and our little house is seeming smaller by the minute.

New Years Eve was uneventful with Chris falling asleep by 9:30. Aiden and I were in bed asleep by 11.

Aiden is really growing! He’s crawling big time now and pulling up and cruising around everywhere. He just started pulling up around Christmas, and within the week he was everywhere. He’s still a pretty good kiddo. He has just been wearing us out from having to chase him around everywhere. I can’t believe he’s gonna be a year old in less than a month.

It’s looking as if Chris’ work may not close, but even if they don’t, they will have to lay off a bunch of people. He’s going to request to be one of them because I have a 10 week job lined up where I’ll be gone roughly 12 hours a day for 5 days a week, and I couldn’t do it if Chris is still working. We’d have no childcare and couldn’t afford to pay someone. I hope for friends’ sake that they stay open, but I hope they also don’t waiver on laying off Chris.

I’m not getting much work because they changed Chris’ work hours. He’s now off on Mondays, but he’s gone from 5:30am to 6:30pm Tuesday through Friday (working 7-5:30). It’s gonna be rough with him working these hours for us to be able to get bills paid, but we’re gonna do the best we can.

That’s really all that’s going on with us. Hope everyone is doing well.
