Sick lil boy
Poor little Aiden is all sick. The doc thinks it is just a viral infection and says let it run its course. I think we may be going back to the doctor on Friday, though, because he’s starting to show signs of an eye infection. Poor lil guy is so miserable. He slept on me in the recliner last night, which meant I got little sleep. He sure slept well, though. I have a feeling I’ll end up back in the chair tonight, too. He’s just so pitiful and congested and droopy. I wish there was something more we could do for him.
Other than that, things are going pretty well around here. We got our tree up the Sunday after Thanksgiving, and almost all of our presents are bought. Just a couple things to go, and most of what we have is already wrapped. This will be the first Christmas without my FIL, and it will also be the first year we don’t go to my mom’s on Christmas morning. I’m just looking forward to seeing Aiden’s face when we encourage him to tear the paper up on his gifts as he LOVES to tear any paper up he can find.
One bad thing going on is something a lot of people have been dealing with. The company Chris works for just had a meeting last week regarding the company’s stability. It’s not stable at all. Their incoming money doesn’t line up time-wise with the money they pay out, and with the credit crunch, they haven’t been able to get the loans they’ve always had in the past to hold them over that gap. They had another temporary lay-off Friday and Monday, so I’ve picked up a few extra hours where I can to help make up for that. I’m just scared that Chris may not have a job come the first of the year.
I hope Aiden starts feeling better soon! Sorry about Chris’ company. What does he do? Mat works for a fairly small company and I know they are struggling right now, too. ryn: Thanks! I’m trying not to get too worried about it, since I know there’s easy treatment. It’s nice to hear that you have a cousin who has it and has 3 kids!
