When the alternator went our on her car, she searched for the cheapest way to get it fixed. She bought the alternator at O’Reilly’s and had Midas install it. As with most things in life, it didn’t go smoothly. The alternator didn’t arrive until 3:00 on Friday and she wasn’t able to pick her car up until Saturday. Then she drove to Wichita for a family birthday dinner. As she was telling the story, one of her older cousins said, “Oh, Nicole. You are so grown up. I would have just had to call my Mom.” Of course she did call her Mom and we walked through it over the phone as we did many of her crises. I put the money in her account and she made all the necessary efforts.
