Welcome to day three of a four-night bar run.

Tonight’s player are : Myself and Jerry the Younger (two points to those that guessed that one correctly) manning the bar. Charon supervising the whole affair, and a grand array of … erm… two cocktail waitresses.

As I return from grabbing the weekend bag o’ money and stocking the register, I notice to my amusement that Jerry the Older is at the bar, but at the drinking side of it and not the serving side. That’s all right.  He drinks his whiskey and water casually, and has -never- been a problem. He’s one worry I’m not likely to have.  I served him three rounds and after that Jerry the Younger attended to his beverages for the night.

Initially, Jerry the Younger was due to man the smaller service bar down the other end of the casino, but due to the general level of slow business, it was shut down and he came down to join me instead, which was fine.  Easier to get the dinner break in that way, if nothing else, plus someone sane to talk to, so that’s all right.

The country band was back again, and I spent about half the night idly wondering if I could somehow convince them to try playing “Electric Worry”, by Clutch. They were actually–probably a good choice for Easter weekend, but that would also be pure happenstance.  Our entertainment booking people rarely do things that make sense, so I’ll chalk it up to an accidental win on their part, I suppose.

Our new transferred bartenderess was not in residence last night, so that kept the bar split where it should be and as such – we went home with a good chunk of change.

Closing Observations :

  • Foreshadowing is a bitch. Just saying.
