Busy….but a Great Week!!

Looking back on the week, it was wonderful in so many ways. It’s easier to overlook the bumps when there are so much ‘sunshine’ in your week.

  1. I was a little timid and nervous about starting to volunteer at preschool but I love it! And evidently the kids are taking to me. During one of the sessions about half the class, both girls and boys moved their chairs so they were sitting nearer to me. Melissa said that was the first time they had ever done that. Makes me happy!
  2. Even though busy I got a lot accomplished last week. Things taken to the Thrift Store, new Easter clothes which I love, Easter boxes and baskets given to or sent to the greats and grands, more organizing done, attended Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter services.
  3. Sunrise service, breakfast afterward, being greeter and Children’s Church teacher all went very well. Easter service was awesome.
  4. Grandson Zach surprised me by attending sunrise service and the breakfast afterward.
  5. Don’s brother Jerry called and cancelled plans to go there because of impending bad weather. So Don and I made lunch together.
  6. It got very cold and windy but we only got a smattering of the freezing drizzle.
  7. Don got me a sweet Easter card and some candy. (I did the same for him.)
  8. One of my CC kids ( my late son Michael used to refer to him as his grandson when he was a baby, long story) came up to me before church to show me his new Easter toys and also show me how he learned to tie his shoes. (He doesn’t remember me from when Michael and his wife cared for him.)
  9. I had a nice unexpected visit with my step daughter, Mikki,  Thursday.
  10. A young lady that Michael and Misty (my late son and DIL) took in and put the rest of the way through school and then into tech school, showed up at church today. First time I have seen her in several years!
  11. JESUS IS RISEN!!

@startingover_1 And I didn’t have to get into an argument to get out of it! 🙂

Sometimes busy can be a good thing.  Sounds like things worked themselves out for you and the brother-in-law!

wow! I feel like a lazy old woman, reading about all you do. But I think it’s wonderful that you’re doing what you love and being around family.  I think you’ve inspired me to get to all those put-off chores. 🙂

I have a very close friend named Gillian.  You and she are just alike.  Gillian keeps extremely busy and from what I’ve read of your entries thus far, you do too.  Me?  Probably moderate to low moderate in busyness.  I think it’s sweet that the children moved in to be closer to you.  I think they kind of like you.  😊

Sounds like the best kind of busy there is… and I loved hearing about the kids moving closer to the nice lady.  🙂
