A maudlin moment

an hour or two straggle to one side of the room

they try to find the time that lapsed since I chewed on that mushroom

the screen of silk between your mind and mine feels like a gauntlet tightly pressed on my hand

and I count the number of times your eyes sparkle and your head tilts just a little to the left and your cheek dips in and out of itself unaware of the disruption left in its wake and yes, I’m perfectly comfortable where I now stand

Beautiful. and I count the number of times your eyes sparkle and your head tilts just a little to the left and your cheek dips in and out of itself unaware of the disruption left in its wake… I love it.

RE: ha, yes, funny – of course I care about what people think; if I didn’t, I wouldn’t be spending so much time and energy trying to make it look like I didn’t. Eeeerrgh.
