John’s.Sonnet

I don’t think you could ever love me true
For in your eyes I’m different than I am.
I doubt that you had any reason to
Accept me for my hidden, filthy hands.
And I can smile again when I do see
How lovely you’ve become and how you’ve grown,
And how your change has also transformed me,
But me to you, is someone I don’t know.
And when too many promises broken,
Are built up, over-flowing, then spill o’er,
The secrets kept from you become spoken.
The truth may terrify you to your core.
For soon will come the day of all things clear,
You’ll find that all I am, is all you fear.

Oh I really liked that one. I know I’ll probably say the same thing on all your entries but I really do love everything you write. 🙂
