The yogurt was mouth-watering… ;-)

Well, the yogurt came out extraordinarily delicious (if I do say so myself)! It is absolutely scrumptious. I like plain yogurt and the home made stuff is richer and has a slightly different flavor. I’m very impressed with the yogurt maker and happy that I got it. I also made another pan of corn bread today and saw, when I came back home, that my husband, son and son-in-law nearly finished the entire thing so that was a success as well. My failure for the day was a loaf of bread that, for some unknown reason, didn’t rise. The consistency was interesting and my son loved the doughy texture, though, so it was a success of its own, I guess, because I see that a lot of this loaf is gone as well!

Also, praise the Lord, I did not miss a single note in my bell ringing this morning (which surprised me more than anybody today)! Even in the rehearsal prior to the service I was struggling with the short piece we do prior to the reading of the gospel. God was definitely with me however, because I somehow rang the right bells at exactly the right time without even being completely aware of what I was doing during that piece and when it was completed I was stunned that I had done it right! LOL I realized at that moment that it was surely God that had gotten me through that one. Don’t tell me there are no miracles!!!

This afternoon my younger daughter and I went to a “spa party” at the home of the woman who does the cottage Bible study. We had a great time. This woman, Mrs. MC that I described in an earlier entry, is so warm hearted and fun. It is just such a pleasure to enjoy her hospitality. There were about eight women there in total and we enjoyed little spa treatments for our feet, hands and faces. My daughter and I bought special cool pads for our eyes and some lip balm they had other skin treatment things I would have liked to get but I’m really trying to be sensible with our money so I resisted. It was hard. After the little party, Mrs. MC served dinner and we all chatted. I am just so happy making these new friends.

My daughter was cheerful too in spite of another failed IUI. She is going to try IVF next. I pray that she gets pregnant from this next step. It’s so hard to see her go through all this month after month.

Wonderful entry. Found you via random tonight. (Just lurking) Have a great evening.

Sounds like a good day to me too! hmm..I have heard of yogurt makers but didn’t think much of it. Since I eat one every day, maybe worth trying. I sympathize with your daughter..my husband and I tried for 14 years before Amber was born.

Infertility is such a pain. When I used to go in for all the testing and drugs and taking my temperature and, and, and… it was so stressful. Of course now I have prayed about it and accepted that this is how it is for me but I still wish your daughter much success. hugs, Serena

Glad to hear the bell ringing went well and the yogurt turned out good too. I too knows how it feels to want a baby so badly like your daughter. My husband and I had trouble but God finally answered our prayers and gave us two healthy children. In fact our son will be 27 and our daughter 21 in Feb. Will keep your daughter in my prayers. Hugs~

I had a sister in law that had a yogurt maker. I don’t remember if she ever used it or not.
