Okay, What do you think? Now THAT would be a blockbuster, don’t you agree? Just remember, this is coming from my impressions and goofy imagination, not necessarily because these folks resemble the OD’ers in question because I don’t even know what most of you look like! Also, I don’t look like Holly Hunter, nor does my husband look like Jim Belushi, but they’ve played characters that act like us so that’s why I chose them. So anyway, this was probably the biggest waste of time I could probably indulge in but it was fun. I took the day off tomorrow to get ready to go visit my mother again on Wednesday so I can stay up a little later tonight. Why in the world should I use that time doing something practical?!

I’ll be gone from 9/29-10/5 to Florida to see Mom. She needs me to do some things for her that I didn’t get done in August when I went to see her (too busy having fun!) Also, I just didn’t get a lot of “mom time” when I was there. On 10/6 I check into the hospital to get my gallbladder removed (praise God) so I may not be making an entry here for quite some time. Don’t miss me too much 😉 I’ll miss you guys, but the good part is I’ll have plenty of good reading during my recovery period as I catch up. Maybe my other favorites will be back by then too. There were two or three others that disappeared after the big OD crash of 2004 🙁 I keep wondering whatever became of them. Unfortunately a couple of them didn’t even know I read them, I just sort of hovered around and read but hadn’t really made comments in their diaries. Now these guys are not restored and appear to not have re-started diaries so I’m left in the dark!

The validity of net closeness via message boards has been proven even more thoroughly to me now. My daughter spent this past weekend at a retreat that was held by her message board group for Christian women struggling with primary infertility. She met the group of women who have been messaging each other for a year or so via this Christian message board and supporting each other as they attempt to get pregnant and go through the process, several going through miscarriages, as she did. We went out to dinner tonight and she told me how wonderful the retreat was and how rejuvenated she was. It was a great time of support. Seventeen of the women met together at a cabin in Tennessee and spent a week-end cooking, talking, sharing stories and support, tears, presents, and prayers. This net group has been an amazing help to her in her struggles. And I feel as if OD is a blessing to me. I love to write and write and write and I love to read my favorites and really care what happens to each one. In this world with so much going on and so much to do, it seems like time is at a premium. On the net, you can indulge in a certain intimacy with others but you can do it when you are able just as the others can. You can also cut through the general pleasantries and go straight to the really interesting stuff since it’s so anonymous. Maybe we’ll never all get together at a cabin in Tennessee, but I still love to catch up with what everybody’s doing and will sure miss you all when I’m out of town and out of commission.

I have gotten together with a group of low carbing women from my area via the internet. We have a lot of fun when we meet. We usually get together once a month at a restaurant.

Ok darlin…… This truly made me laugh. I really appreciate your notes and support! The movie? Well all be, I want to be in the movies…. Yay

Ah the operation! That would make it more of a soap opera than a movie! I love your choices for you and your husband (and of course for me TOO. In fact I plan to look like Susan Sarandon in my next incarnation.)

September 28, 2004

I plan to look like Holly Hunter in about another 15-20 lbs down! 😉

What a laugh Eryssa! The resemblance is astonishing actually: I’m quite shocked! You and your husband too, but that was easier of course. As for Lace, well, what a stunner: I think I’ll have to pursue her…! Now, when are you going to write the plot?

I do hope your operation will go OK. Hope you’ll write on OD before the sixth. If not, my thoughts are with you…

ryn: >>Do you, perhaps, wish to let this go on somewhere deep down? You keep sleeping w/her. << No I definitely don’t want it to go on. I wish though that it could have worked. I realise this has been such a physical relationship for the 24 years we’ve been together. The scales are just starting to drop from my eyes. I can’t understand how I could have been so obsessed—and still am, God me!

ryn on alimony: the courts here consider that if you are over 50 you have little hope of getting a job. This is certainly true if you are a wife who has never worked before, but Marion had worked, albeit half-time, for nearly all her married life. Still, generous as it may be, she will certainly not have the same life style in the future that we enjoyed together.

Hey HEY Where are you? Are you back yet? I am laughing terribly at Q’s note above…. WISHED I looked like HER!!! Ha
