Casket selfies???….
So now casket selfies are a thing?… I had someone ask me today what I thought of them because they wanted to go to a viewing of a friend’s mom and take one?…umm….??? The only thing I could think of to say to this person was…not everything in life has to be about or involve you?… seems tacky?.. I could understand a family member wanting to take a pic…I guess? to remember them by?…but from my experience the person doesn’t look the ‘best’ at that particular moment…so help me if I see this person posting the pic on FB… smh…
People worry me. O.O

Oh dear. That’s concerning, I hope more people are not doing this? How disrespectful. Tagging the funeral home in the pictures on fb/insta/snap. 😮
I’ve always found the casket pics odd in general, the person would most likely not want to be remembered in that way? More then likely there are happier photos if the person prior to death to hold as a memory. But everyone processes/mourns differently.

Oh my, the selfie generation. My grandfather recently passed away. As a family member, I would have taken great offense if someone had wanted to snap a picture or a selfie. In my opinion that’s disrespectful to the family. Besides, dead bodies are morbid. They generally don’t look nearly as good as they did alive. Who would want a picture, except for attention. The morbid shock value perhaps. SMH wow.

Now that’s really sick. People worry me too.

That sounds like yet another reason for cremation and no funerals at all. Talk about invasion of privacy — no sanctity, even in death.
