Another Phrase meaning “Good Day”

Today was a good day.

Everyone woke up on the right side of the bed, which is good, because the other side is a wall.  We made it to the bank on time and did a little cleaning for the party.  We made a plan for the day, and stuck to it.  We enjoyed ourselves.  We even enjoyed a little Five Guys Burgers and Fries, which we haven’t had together since before Tots was born.

We went to the party store and didn’t spend as much money as I allotted.  The girl even rang a coupon for 20% off out of nowhere.  That saved us more than four dollars.  Tots was a good boy throughout the store, despite the dozens of items he decided he wanted to play with or were his already.  (He’s started the Mine and Me phase.  It’s cute to a point.)  We got streamers and balloons and party favors, but I couldn’t find the right banner.  I wanted one like we had last year that was mostly blank, so that party guests can color it in.  Not so important, though.

I’m so happy that we got rid of a huge bag of stuff at Goodwill.  It’s just been sitting in either the computer room or the hallway for at least a year and a half.  That lump of junk was starting to bug me.  (It’s not bad stuff, just not any good to us.)

"Despicable Me" was kind of funny, enough to want to watch again.

I’ve got a whole bunch of errands to do tomorrow including, bank, dump, and the post office.  Also, there is still quite a bit of housework to complete.  It’s all very manageable, though.  Since I’m feeling almost all the way better, none of it should be a problem.

One last thing:  Last night, when I was getting Tots into his pajamas, he pointed to his little bum.  He said, "Bobbum."  I asked, "Your bottom?"  He said, "Yeah.  Bobbum.  Shake shake shake.  Yeah."  I asked, "You like to shake your bottom?"  So he did a little dance, singing, "Shake shake shake.  Yeah?"  I guess my little guy likes to shake his booty when the moment is right.
