Right now, Pi is watching and I am listening to a documentary called "Objectified." It’s really interesting. It’s about how manufactured objects are designed and redesigned, about the form and function of it all. It’s about the actual designers who re-evaluate and re-invent everyday items, down to potato peelers and hedge trimmers to more high tech stuff like the iPhone. They were just talking about vacuum cleaners, giving examples of how Dare Devil makes a vacuum so pretty you kind of want to leave it out on your counter, because it doesn’t look like a piece of junk. Then they showed a vacuum made by Dyson that is totally durable and useful, but also interesting to look at.
It’s on Netflix, in case anyone wants to watch it. It really does gives an interesting look at the design of everyday things that we may take for granted. And to think that I wasn’t going to watch it with him.
My cold is still lingering, but it’s getting a bit better. Tots hasn’t shown any symptoms, so I’m okay with it all. I haven’t stopped washing my hands.
Pi, Tots and I had a nice day together today. It wasn’t great, but we enjoyed it. I let Pi sleep in while Tots and I went outside to help Mom put the Christmas lights on the tree in the front yard. By the time we were done, Pi was up and ready for the day. We all ended up at Shleprock’s house with one really bad movie (The Chaos Experiment) and one pretty good one (Inception), and with pizza and salad in our bellies.
Objectified sounds interesting and I’ve wanted to see Inception for some time now. Perhaps I’ll pick it up today. Glad your cold is getting better. Mine is finally working it’s way out as well.

I’ll have to check out the documentary. I’m definitely influenced by how pretty my functional things are. I think I saw Inception but can’t remember!

Yay. Christmas lights! I didn’t know your mom would do something like that! Cool. I’m sorry you’re still sick, but glad it didn’t end up going around your house. That always sucks. Hey! I reached 3 of 7 and she and her cute little person are coming to Little Cousin Brunch. Is your mom coming? Don’t stress out (or stress her out about it). Just offering because she hasn’tseen the house yet. Maybe she doesn’t want to. That’s okay, too. But you were going to see if Pip wanted to come. I thought if your dad wanted to that would be nice. But just let me know how many are coming. *hugs*
