It’s hard coming up with title after title
We went to Walmart today to find one of those boxes for humanely catching the possible mouse. When we went in, the greeter didn’t even look at us. I thought greeters were supposed to greet! That’s fine, but I like to talk to people. If he didn’t want to talk to us, then I don’t want to talk to him. Moving on. Recently, they redid my whole Walmart, and I don’t know exactly where everything is now. We must have wandered around the same aisles for at least 15 minutes. I saw workers look up at me, again, and go back to what they were doing. I could have asked where it could be found, sure. But I was kind of testing them. After the first guy ignored me, I wanted to see if maybe he was just having a bad day or something. I think all the employees were having a bad day, because, seriously, you can’t ignore someone that many times in a row.
I know that maybe I should have just asked instead of getting annoyed. I should have been better than that, but so should they have been. I told the lady at the customer service desk that about six people completely ignored me. She asked if I still wanted help. I told her no, that I was done wasting my time there. She asked me if I wanted to talk to a manager. I said no. She said, "Well, you really should talk to a manager, because they should know that that is going on." I told her she could tell the manager, if she wanted, and I left. Just so you know, I wasn’t completely rude. I was just being honest.
If I am busy at work, I will drop what I am doing to help a customer. If I am helping someone in drive-thru and someone is waiting at the front counter, I immediately tell them that I will help them as soon as I possibly can. I train my workers to do the same. We can get everything done when we’re done with the customers.
I’m done ranting now.
Tonight, Tots insisted on wearing the same pajamas as he did last night. I let him. He’s never expressed interest in what he’s wearing before. We’ll see how this one plays out.
I cooked Pi a pair of thin steaks, which he is thoroughly enjoying as we speak. I like cooking steak. I like the just-done smell and how it fills the house afterward.
I didn’t do any kind of housework today. I was just trying to think about all the things we did today to write about it. There is nothing.
How did today pass by like that?
*EDITS: How could I forget this? Tots really likes Another One Bites the Dust and he likes to go "bom bom bom" when it plays. He dances and claps his hands. Today, we watched the official Queen video on youtube. Afterward, we went downstairs to see Mom and Tots did the cutest little impression of Freddie Mercury ever! He danced and sang for about a minute, all the while waving his arms a little for emphasis. It was so cute!
Your kid rocks. That’s almost E-K’s favorite, song, too. and Gosh, I WISH I could get the boys to wear their pajammas two days in a row… or THREE… they change them like fashionistas. … I avoid Walmart like the plague. Good luck with the mice, though..
