Simple but Nice Thursday

Day 12 and I’m still going strong!  I just physically gave myself a pat on the back.

I don’t have too much stuff to talk about today.  Tots and I went for a walk so that Pi could sleep a little later.  He’s had three days off this week, but today was the only one where he didn’t have a specified obligations.

When he got up, we all kind of just poked around the house.  We went for a ride so that Tots would take a nap.  We visited my work friends.  We went to Target.

I can’t think of ways to elaborate any of this, to make it sound a little more interesting.

Anyway, Shleprock called to tell us he had an idea for dinner, so we picked up some frozen veggies and a loaf of Italian bread.  He asked me when we arrived if I would mind doing his dishes.  He worked all day, and beat up his hands, so the hot water hurt.  I don’t mind doing his dishes, because he helps us out with things from time to time.  I ended up washing more than he was expecting.  He thanked me, and I said, "Never feel bad about asking me to help you with something."  With that, he handed me the bag of raviolis to cook and laughed.

As I cooked dinner for everybody, Pi and a friend Handy jammed in the living room.  Shleprock set up the microphone so that Tots could sing into it, which he loves.  It was nice.  In the end, we had extra large raviolis with sauce, two kinds of steam-in-the-microwave veggies, and buttered Italian bread.  We ate all of it, except for a little end from the bread a bit of the sauce.

Tots really likes Handy.  I mean, he’s a friendly sort of guy, but he really really likes Handy.  I think he thinks his games are silly.  I do too.

The movie Fantastic Mr. Fox was better than I thought it was going to be.  As a kid, I loved the book.  I may have read it a dozen times.  Of course, they couldn’t make it exactly like the book, but it was still fun to watch.  I don’t think the ending is the same, but I don’t remember.  I’m going to have to reread the book sometime soon.

Well, that’s about all I have for you.  I hope you weren’t too bored, but I guess if you’re reading this part, it wasn’t so boring that you just had to stop reading it.

WHOO-YOU! Still going strong. It can be hard to keep up so many entries if you’re busy or just uninspired or if it starts to feel like a “must”. I personally have enjoyed all of them.

LOL. So his idea for dinner was that you cook it? OH you mean the ravioli and bread thing. Still, it sounds like a good time, and anybody who plays good games with Tots is okay in my book.
