Please note, the title has nothing to do with the article – I just like the name of that vegetable!

I have failed in my choice to avoid drinking before the new year… Tonight I selected some creamy cocktails to try, involving flavours like chocolate, vanilla, brandy and so on. They were alll quite nice. I am currently wearing Dax’s shirt (he brought two last Sat and left one here). It fits, which is great, and so do my Levi’s, which haven’t fitted me for years. I am at a low-point for my weight for about 3 years, but still feel fat. I want to lose another stone and a half, but will settle for this for now. I am at least in my healthy bmi range!

Now let’s see how the town sees me…
