Dedicated to the One I Love

I feel a little guilty. I have just consumed, single-handedly, a whole bottle of Clos des Goisses ’96. This is a rare wine. I should leave it for decades to come, but ya know what? I adore youthful, vigorous champagne. Clos des Goisses – one of the best, most sought-after champagnes – hits the spot, when young. Yet, even though I got it reduced, it’s a lot. To drink all to myself, the second bottle of bubbly tonight… dear me! What have I become? A delicious lush!
