[break is over]
It’s about to get crazy… I start my new work schedule tomorrow, as well as my next semester of classes. I will be working Monday through Friday from 8a-4p, and in class Monday through Thursday from 6p-9p. Then at the end of February I start clinicals one day per week (I will have that day off work). It’s going to be sooo busy and hectic!
My mom came up with a good idea to make meals easier, though. She suggested I cook a few extra meals on the weekends to have in the refrigerator so I don’t have to resort to eating junk. So I tried that today. I made three full dinners this evening so that Greg and I can eat homemade food. It went well, and I think it will help immensely. I will continue to pack healthy lunches, and my diet should be pretty good. My current lunch usually consists of: a main item (dinner leftovers, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, or a sandwich), organic vanilla yogurt (I mix in fresh fruit and granola), and either another fruit, a vegetable, an organic granola bar, or some wheat crackers. Lunch is the one thing I make consistently healthy. Hopefully all this healthy eating combined with my vitamins will keep my energy level high!
There’s not much new going on currently. Things are going pretty well for us. Winter is supposedly here (according to the calendar), but I haven’t felt it yet. Temps are generally in the upper 30’s to mid 50’s, and we haven’t had any snow to speak of. We are eagerly anticipating spring, though, and boating weather! I’m so glad we bought the boat this summer. It was a very unexpected purchase, but one that we will get tons of enjoyment out of!
Ok, I need to get going. I have some homework to do tonight, and a small amount of reading for tomorrow night’s class. We are starting the semester off with a quiz! I just wanted to pop in and let you know that we are well 🙂
