If I had to write a soundtrack to my life:
The first song would be
Childhood
1. Elvis Presley – I cant help falling in Love with You
My mom said she heard this song constantly when she was pregnant with me so that would be the first track of my life
2. Kokomo- Beach Boys
The travelling days of my childhood. We took the motor home and went road tripping across Canada and the States. Went to Flordia every winter. Spent a lot of time in Flordia as a kid. Loved it there. We tried to move there when I was younger. Put the house up for sale, guess we didnt try hard enough .I always wonder how different my life would have been had we had moved there permanently.
Elementary School
3. Dont Speak- No Doubt
In elementary school I had one best friend for a long time. We met up in Flordia when she was living there and she hung out with me the whole time I was there. We had cottages close to eachother. So shed come to mine, I would go to hers. But as we got older I did something and she got mad and after that she didnt talk to me for two years and got everyone against me. Until she genuinely apologized around the last day of elementary school At the time though it was my biggest heart break. I would have dreams we were still friends and really grieved the friendship. Everytime I heard this song it reminded me of our lost friendship
4. Anything by the Spice Girls
Loved them was the biggest fan you had ever seen. even permed my hair to look like scary spice. haha I was the only white girl pretending to be scary spice at the spice girl contest.
5. Effle 69- Im Blue
In grade 7 this was my crushes favorite song and everytime I hear it I am very joyful cause its so simple.
High School
6. Nothing To Lose- Billy Talent I was very depressed in high school and alone and suicidal. this relates to that perfectly in some ways
7.Break You Off- The Roots A guy I knew died and this was his answering machine song. He left an impact on me thats for sure. First person in my life that I knew who died young
8. The Whole World- Outkast.I remeber this song because I was listening to it on my cd player in grade nine. I dont like people knowing what I listen to for fear they will judge me. Well this cute guy kind of grabbed my cd player and saw I had this song on my cd and said he loved it too. So I guess whenever I listen to it, it reminds me that I am not so different from people as I think I am.
9. No One- Alicia Keys The song that was our song, with me and my first ever boyfriend.
10. Faint- Linkin Park The song that bonded me and my now roomate in high school. I think I was listening to it on the bus and she told me she loved it. It became our theme song.
