When I said Monday, I meant Wednesday =/

 Well I didn’t get Monday off.  Tim texted me saying his best friend from college was in town, and only for the day.  I understand, and didn’t want to be a bitch, so I volunteered to work Monday evening for him.  I was a little disappointed because I really was looking forward to the day off, but I’m glad money-wise.  Somebody at the hibachi tipped $70, and I got half of it, which is still REALLY good.  So I was glad.

I worked all day Tuesday, then attempted to go out with friends.  Everyone had left by the time I got down there because I worked the 11 hour day and didn’t get out til 10…and they were out since 7.  I ran into someone else I knew and we talked a while and then he let me crash at his place.  We cuddled a little, but it was strictly platonic.  I was really REALLY impressed that he didn’t try to put any moves on. 🙂  There ARE some gentlemen in this world! 😉

Yesterday I got my day off.  It was another hot day.  I’m sure the average temperature for the summer so far has been in the mid to upper 90s…which is unusual for Wisconsin.  Normally it doesn’t hit that until, well about this time..and we may get a few days like that the rest of the summer, but we don’t have it for weeks on end.  It finally rained yesterday for the first time in weeks.  I went for a run in it, without music too.  That was hard. I’m still out of shape and generally need music to keep me going, but I didn’t care. I was out there for the rain.  It felt so…right.  I don’t know what the right word is.  All I could hear was my heavy breathing, on occasion, my feet on the pavement, the rain hitting the leaves of the trees, and the birds.  I never heard so many birds on a rainy day.  They were just as happy as we were, i’m sure.  I’d never seen so many creatures out on a run either.  I came across 5 bunnies, and a turtle.  I stopped to just look at the turtle for a while.  I wondered where he came from or if he was alive.  I walked a little farther and then came back to look at him more and he had moved. 🙂  I didn’t run as much as I should’ve, a little more walking, but again…I was out there for the rain.  And it felt amazing.

Now it’s back to work.  I work all day today, going to see the midnight batman movie, and then I only work the evening for Friday and Saturday =)  

I hope everyone has been having a good week so far.  So far mine isn’t so bad, if you exclude Sunday.

And I’m pretty sure I already told her, but I remember it was very late and was a little confused as to whether or not it made it to her facebook, but I wanted to tell her again, a couple days later.. Happy Birthday Angie! 🙂
