really disappointing
Early yesterday my friend Chuck texted me saying he and his wife would be downtown at Players, and they would love for me to join. I thought, great idea, I haven’t seen them in a while…I shall come after work.
I went straight after work to Players, but got a warning that Darlene and Andy were there too with a bunch of friends. I didn’t really care though. I was just down there to see my friends and have fun.
When I got there, though, the bar was just very uncomfortable. The new girl came in and said hi to one of the girls at our table because she knows her really well, and Lani was trying to get her to stay at our table. I told Lani she can sit wherever she wants. She’s the potential new GF of the couple, and I knew she was going over there, but I didn’t think it was right for Lani to try and recruit her here. There was already obvious siding going on, and it was stupid.
After I finished my drink we decided to just go elsewhere. I’m sure in Darlene’s head, she was thinking "yes, we won!" the bar over. Apparently when they first came in, one person came in to check who was in there, and then the rest of them came in. It was just Chuck, Lani and Krista at the time. I thought…really? That’s really shady, and low, and just…sad. It’s a big bar, lots of space…whatever. So finally we decided to go to the Casino because it’s a very laid back bar, cheap drinks, and comfy seating. I’m kinda embarrassed though that my coworker, who was bar tending that night, saw everything that was going on. I was getting close to drunk and with this group of friends…we are kind of crazy. Lots of fun cray pictures were taken. Oh well. I don’t care. I was having fun.
Anyways, rest of the night wasn’t too bad. Chuck and Lani went home because Lani was drunk, and David hung around. I found my friend Peter by around 1:30 am and so we hung out…found Tim and watched the drunk parade on Pearl Street. That was interesting. I went to Tim’s to get some water before going home…
The disappointing part of this night…well, okay the beginning was definitely disappointing…the way people were acting. I’m sure people weren’t intentionally taking sides but it just feels that way right now…anyways. I noticed that Darlene posted a picture of the river, and she tagged Kari and her husband in it, and I thought it was pretty…so I "liked" it. Well this morning I’ve come to find that she blocked me from all of her posts or from seeing anything she does. I’m thinking…why don’t you just unfriend me? Isn’t that easier? But of course not. She feels the need to spy on me and keep an eye on my life for whatever reason…which I also find funny because that means in some way, whatever I do she wants or needs to see. I found this whole thing to be quite disappointing. So I just unfriended her. If you have no desire for me to see anything that’s going on with your life, why should you have free access to mine? I’m still friends with her husband, and I know some of her friends are still on mine too so she can still freely spy…I may defriend her husband too…I guess I just hav ea hard time doing it because I don’t have a problem with him, or with anyone. If i don’t have a problem with you, there’s no reason to cut you out of my life…but at the same time…it will be healthy.
One step at a time.
