Heartbeat

I haven’t slept properly for three nights now. It’s not like me, I never have trouble sleeping. It’s my heart, it’s been beating really hard constantly for three or four days. It’s not going hugely fast, about 76bpm, which is only slightly above normal. Just really hard. I can constantly feel it, even if I haven’t done any exercise and I’m lying in bed trying to sleep. Anyone got any tips? If I carry on with such little sleep, I won’t be able to function. I’ve already missed out on things I wanted to do this week, like going on the treadmill and working on my pet care course, because I’m just too tired :o(

I fed the cat again this morning. They were both there again and both tried to come inside, but I’ve been told that only the first one can come in, so I stopped the second one and he hissed at me! I’ve been told to feed them both so the second one doesn’t steal the first one’s food, but he ate it while I wasn’t looking! Little bastard. I fed the first one inside, but outside food was supposed to last it for the rest of the day.

Cat spent a few minutes sitting curled up on my lap, purring, and it seems to enjoy bumping noses.

I managed to pick it up slightly better today, but it came running straight back in again so I had to catch it again!

Jay bought a Chimney Sheep today, so hopefully that will stop the draughts coming down the chimney. Maybe I won’t have to sit in my living room wearing vest, t-shirt, jumper, dressing gown and scarf with the central heating and oil radiator on.

Weird thing is, after we decided to buy it, we found out that the woman who invented and now manufactures them lives on the same street where my mam and dad bought their first house! :o)

Driving to York tomorrow, I’d better sleep tonight, it’s a long way! Also, I hope it doesn’t snow too much!

Not sure what to suggest on the weird heart beat issue other than cut down on caffeine maybe? Or is it more of an adrenaline/anxiety sort of thing? You could get an ECG just to be safe. That Chimney Sheep thing looks amazing!

Are you on any medication at the moment? Certain antibiotics do that funny heart thing to me, as does tartrazine, sunset & quinoline yellow, E103, E105 and anything in the E120s. It could be something in your diet, or a late night sugar crash? Otherwise, yes, go to the docs and see what they say. Better to be safe and all that! Hope it gets better Xx
