Bagram, Afghanistan (PICS)
<— Lots and lots of pics that-a-way!
So, I think this is the last of the picture entries for awhile. I’m sure I’ll have some more to share after the next few days in Florida. Anyway, I just wanted to post a few more of the shots I took while in Afghanistan. Enjoy!
In my hotel room in Qatar, about to hop on a mil air bird to Bagram.
Home, sweet home. This was my bed, obviously.
This is where I worked many a day.
That was my closet.
And there was my door! Nice, huh?
This is where the local Afghanis entered the camp to work.
The only barrier between Bagram Air Field and local communities. You can see some of the clay and mud huts in the distance.
Local Afghani adults dig up old Russian mines, while children play together, darting easily between them. Some of the older children wield slingblades, clearing paths.
Mud and clay homes in the Afghan community.
Old Russian bunkers.
Rusty, disabled tanks left by the Russians.
A couple of old MiG-21 jet fighters left by the Russians.
Tanks, trucks, and debris left by the Russians. Much of the trash has yet to be cleared, because along with this old equipment, the Russians also littered the area with mines. Notice the small, red sign hanging from the fence.
"Do not pass food or water to LNs over the fence."
And… one more picture of the damn camel before we part.
Cheers!
Random: Brilliant pics :o) Thanks for the same..
