Stir Crazy

It’s officially been a week in the hospital. My BP is holding steady now that the docs have me on bid nifedipine. Every time my BP would start to creep, especially my diastolic, I would get super anxious that baby girl and I were in trouble and the docs would say we had to induce right then. But the team says my labs are stable, my BP is being managed well with meds and baby girl looks great, so induction is on for Friday morning.

That’s goaing to be the interesting part. It could go quickly, or take 24 hrs just to soften my cervix.

James has been amazing. I couldn’d do this without him. He’s been working from the hospital room and sleeping on the aweful thing they pretend is a couch. He goes home every few days to wash clothes and feed/ pet the kittens and take care of the fish. Tomorrow, he’s meeting his parents at our house to set up the nursery and put the spare bed downstairs. ❤️

I miss my kittens. Mercy is going to be so pisssed that I’ve been gone and will come home with a new loud tiny human. 😏

My family and friends have been amazing. Ape and Elaina came yesterday for an hour to gossip about work. Christine apparently is moving to an outpatient clinic may 15. They all know I’m not coming back right away. Rebeka came today and dropped off a book and a gift care and brought me a red velvet doughnut from Dom’s. It was so yummy. Kelly and Thom came Friday my parents came sat and sun and Lex came sat. Pam came Friday morning and gave me a pedicure. I have white anchors on blue toenails.

Only a few more days of bed rest . Just a few more days until I get to meet our little girl.
