One Day at a Time

Make it stop, already!  It has been raining/storming off and on for the last 24 hours.  We’ve gotten about an inch and a half of rain here, but some locations have seen over three inches.  There’s a front (stationary), just sitting on top of us.  I was awoken this morning to loud crashes, bangs, lightning.  I have to be at work in two hours and it’s still storming, so I don’t think I’m going back to sleep.  I know I was asleep by 3AM (it stormed loudly until about 2:30AM)  So, 4 hours sleep?  Short shift today, 10AM – 130PM (that’s the good news).  I can come home and nap, I guess.  Then it’s 7AM – 4PM tomorrow.  I may as well get used to these early mornings as starting next week I’m going to be the primary day shift person, as my full time scheduling begins in earnest.

I’ve been hoping for rain, even storms.  But this is a little too much . . . when it interrupts my sleep.
