Trying to stay inspired…

Gah.

I’m sure there are a lot of creative peeps here that know that struggle of trying to keep that spark of inspiration going inside you. Lately i have been struggling so hard to finish projects that i have pushed into my folders for later, and yet the ideas i have in my head for new projects keep poking me to start on them.

I have made a half ass resolution to do my best to finish all (or at least the ones with real potential) of my previous art projects before i get my fingerprints on a new crime scene, because the possibility that these new ideas might lose their appeal and turn into an unfinished project is very likely.

So i’ve tried many methods to keep myself pumped. I’ve made playlists in my ipod for that imaginary DJ in my head, i’ve searched all over youtube for motivational videos, time lapses and tutorials, and i’ve even been watching and re-watching some of my favorite visually striking movies and shows.

P.S. The Shape of Water is gorgeous (fight me haters!) and has been a HUGE help, and i plan to make a tribute piece in the near future.

In my earlier entry this afternoon about how this winter has had my emotions in it’s clutches has had a lot to do with my struggles. I realize more and more that once the warmer weather comes, im going to want to get back to painting in acrylics again, specifically painting my friend’s house in Lord Of The Rings inspired themes. So i must do my best to finish my digital projects well before then. June is my personal deadline.

Gah.

I hope i make it TT_TT
