Found a cat last night. Well technically the upstairs neighbor noticed it first, but I could hear the crying and went outside to investigate. Saw the neighbor trying to calm down this small soaking wet shivering kitty. It was pouring out, and the little thing was in the corner under my window in a big ol’ puddle. Upstairs neighbors have a dog and a cat already, so they were worried about the poor thing being terrified of the dog ya know?
So Mom said we’ll take the thing in for the night. Just the night she says. Well the cat won’t go outside now. And I don’t really know what to do with it. I’m trying to be all tough and grrr otherwise I’ll get attached to the cute little ball of fur and then when we have to get rid of it I’ll be sad. Yes, we have to get rid of it. There’s a $300 pet fee for cats and/or dogs. Not paying that kind of money. Can’t actually.
But the little thing is soooo cute. I think it’s a girl. And she’s the black and white tuxedo short hair. Soft silky fur. Skittish, real bad. But sweet once you get her calmed down. Sticks to the walls and corners, likes to hide and have stuff on all sides of her. Hasn’t eaten anything yet, but she will once she gets hungry enough.

In other news. I’m getting a cold I think. Figures. Stupid doctors office. Go in there and just sit in the waiting room and two days later you’re sick. I’m hoping the advil I took knocks down my fever enough so I don’t have the vague out of my mind feeling going on. And the scratchy-ness in my throat, and building cough. I hate being sick. I haven’t been sick sick in a while. Ugh, my lungs hurt.
Going to make some tea, or soup. Maybe soup. It’ll be nice on my throat. Tea would too, but I have to get some food in my stomach. Real food sounds horrible right now. Even cigarettes are nasty. That’s when I know I’m sick, when I can’t smoke.

Can I whine and say I just want someone to take care of me? Make me soup, and rub my head. Please?
