Critters.

Do you know how hard it is to put together a damn hamster cage?
A hamster cage that I bought for $5 at a thrift store because I’m not paying $25 for the same thing at a pet store. So, no directions. Took me like a fracking hour to figure out how all the little slides and top wheel and shit all went together.

And guess what I named the two little dwarf hamsters?

Xena and Gabrielle.

Aww!! Xena is black, and Gabrielle is a white with some dusty grey patches. And I so hope they are both the same sex, because I do not want babies. Right now they’re both messing around in the bedding. Before they were scarfing down the food like it was going out style.

Mom got it easy. She just had to put the little dishes into her bird cage. She got a yellow and green, and blue parakeet. She hasn’t named him yet, she’s thinking Bandit because he has cute markings on his head like a bandana kinda.

The bird is rather quiet, probably getting used to the cage and stuff.

So now the apartment has a little bit more life in it. Kinda nice.
