The divided Mind
Living with cronic pain has made me a prisoner in my own body. My live revolves around pain from morning to night…After 3 operations and 2 new hip joints. osteoartritis in my knees, hands and back plus waiting to get an implant in my shoulder is not what I call having a easy time..I read alot and listen to podcasts about how almost all cronic pain is from the mind. We as children experienced trauma of some sort and the mind deprives the parts of our bodies from oxygn to make ur focus on pain instead of burried feelings inside us…I have listened to doctor John E Sarno and his book The Divided Mind…the body and mind disorder…I want more than anything to comprihend this theory and get better…our programing has made our brain programed to think “pain” because it has made pathways or memmories in the neurons. Does anyone out there know wnat I am talking about and/or has any suggestions for me please comment below….thanx for your time
Yes I do. I live with chronic pain, osteoarthritis in my hips and knees, and just was diagnosed after years of pain (four years, a few concussions, and 8 surgeries later) with Fibromyalgia. I use my hypnosis training to help over come it as well as essential oils. Modern medicine has let me down and I’ve had to take matters into my own hands to survive with this. I so get where you are coming from.
@maggiemay I did tests on fibromyalgia which were negative but instead got diagnosed with Mylagi (muscle pain origin unknown) I habe two new hips but feel like they are the same even after the OP. Which oils do you use and how? thanx for your reply
@zowey kinda weird to have negative fibromyalgia results when there is no actual test for it. I use Copaiba oil from DoTerra. I use a few drops under my tongue when I’m really hurting and also apply it directly to places where I hurt. It helps a lot.
@maggiemay the test was just a check if I have these trigger sots on the body parts which conclude fibromyalgia. If this oil helps I will check it out thanx so much

I just started a book called, How to heal yourself when nobody else can. I am also chronically ill, and am hoping to be able to help myself. I am also beginning to use essential oils to help with certain things. Peppermint is a favorite, along with frankenscence.
@catholicchristian thanx so much….did you read The divided mind by John Sarno?
@zowey No, but it sounds interesting, and I am adding it to my list.
