Happy Birthday to Me!

Today is my birthday! I am now 47. I feel very happy. I am getting used to not working a bit too well I think! I do have an assignment to finish today to hand up in tonights class. But am being very indulgent and putting an entry up on here before I pull my finger out. (terrible expression).

Mr9 gave me a birthday card this morning. He made at school for me yesterday instead of going out to play… He is SO adorable…

His class are celebrating Roald Dahl day today and can dress up as a character from one of his books. Mr9 is even more adorable because he has dressed as the BFG (we are reading it at home). Mr9 has grown a lot taller in the last few months but he is still the tiniest in his class… hence the adorable bit…

I took both the boys with me to the city last week. Mr9’s appointment with the eye specialist, got his special vitamins and another blood test. Combined this with a trip to the Show, caught up with Mr21 there, visited my ancient aunty, not ancient cousin and then went to my High School Reunion!

We were 5 days away… a day driving each way.. and three days in the city. The trips over and back went well, although I got tired – 7 hours it is, but we stopped for lunch for a half hour in the middle. The traffic in the city was another story altogether… hideous! I was SO glad to be out of it… I could NOT live in the city again… I am SO lucky to live in the country… it is worth having the inconvenience of having to occasionally travel long distances to access services if I can come back home to the country!

I have such a Big Head now since my school reunion… None of the girls had changed a bit, and neither had some of the men to my eyes. But I had SO many comments on how I hadn’t changed at all since school and seeing it was a 30 year reunion, it was very nice to hear such compliments!! I know my face looks young for its age (in a flattering light, with makeup on…) and I am able to cover the fattish bits of my body with clothes, thank goodness! haha

Actually I have been lots of naughty food and got SLACK with the dog walking and have crept back up to that next size in the last few weeks …. no lovely, lover to look at me…. 🙁        …. so MUST stop eating rubbish…

But not today… Today is my birthday  … And I am going to go now and open my present from my cousin. And try out my new random orbital sander I bought myself. …. And then I’d really better finish this assignment that I am supposed to hand up tonight!!
