Something is wrong with my Baby

Months ago (this is what happens if you live in the middle of nowhere) I got referral to visiting Pediatrician, so I could get referral to someone to look at Mr-now-8’s droopy eylid.

Finally got appt. with Opthamology at Children’s Hosp in capital city.

Coincided with Mr13s school camp there where his class did a cooking thing at Royal Show so we booked 2 nights accom and drove – (8hours).

Saw the thing, first day, caught up with Mr20-at-uni-in-city, second day, got list of city jobs done, finally got to appt.

First thing was to check he can move his eyeballs properly. Failed that, unable to look up at all and limited right and left movement.

Got someone else. They put drops in to enlarge pupils and checked back of eye. Seemed ok, but still got someone else.

They got the boss, then asked if we could stay overnight (it was then after hours and they were closing up) and get him in to neurologist next morning. yes (don’t panic, don’t panic inside me)

Did that, neulogist took history, tested for muscle weakness, not sure, more tests, blood tests first.

Took two more hours to get two vials out of my tiny skinny and now apparently impaired somehow brave Mr.

Rehydrated and renourished him with good lunch then finally free to drive 8 hours home.
