Post-Op Doctor Appointment and PICS
Had the post-op ankle appointment yesterday. Remember I told you that he had me a pseudo cast??? Well it was half a fiberglass cast and the rest were Ace bandages.
Well they had to have two people pull that sucker off and it also required me to pull my foot out and I was so afraid of having unending pain by pulling my foot out. But I didn’t. It felt a bit weird and numb but it wasn’t too bad.
Well I didn’t get pictures of the now free foot, it was too gruesome and swollen and full of stitches. I have stitches on the far right of the foot, and on the back of the calf and also on the heel. The whole foot was swollen beyond belief and looked gross. So I didn’t take pictures of it.
The below picture is the swollen foot after the 2010 accident, it is not my foot now. It’s swollen in this pic, take this swolleness and also the bruising and multiply it by 100%
I was pretty bruised up this time around because he went in thru the heel and also thru the calf to do the Acilles’ tendon stretching as well.
Below is the existing screws from the 2010 accident.
Those two screws are in my foot still, now below is the screws in my foot WITH the existing screws….make four screws total in my foot.
See those long screws in there?? I was shocked when I saw that picture on the computer monitor. I was shocked beyond belief!!! I was like holy cow!!!
Now the picture of the cast:
He had me do some lifting with the foot. I have very small range of motion with the foot only going up and down. No right to left motion….at all.
But that’s it.
