Outreach
I cannot believe the amount of outreach that has been opened to me. Members of my church and work are cooking dinners for my family and I and are also coming by to say hi and sending cards. I got flowers in the hospital with a blanket and a devotional from the office staff at church. I got numerous cards from members. Members are cooking dinners each day and dropping them off. And my co-workers are coming by Friday to see me as well. I’m overwhelmed and grateful for this all.
I’m doing okay. The pain pills they have me on make me incredibly sleepy. I’m up maybe 20 minutes to a half hour before I have to lay down again, due to the foot being swollen or my toes turning blue, or I’m just so exhausted. So I’m trying to write this quick. I’m in bed each night by 8 o’clock. Sleep the whole night and wake up at 6 in the morning on the dot. I take my pain pill (Norco) every 6 hours. I’m trying to stay up until 9 tonight.
I take Aspirin as well as my pain pills to prevent clots.
My mother-in-law and my mom are both here helping us out tremendously. All I need to worry about is sleeping and eating.
