Wallet Rape

Yesterday my co-worker and co-teacher was doing evaluation on a student.  My phone vibrated in the cabinet and she came flying down the hallway to get me because she was worried it was the doctor.  It was the hospital looking for pre-authorization details and payment.  I was fine with the details and whatnot, it was the $1,675 that i had to pay by credit card right away.  I haven’t met my deductible and so i guess I paid that, I’m not sure what I paid for to be honest.  But I got a 30% discount for paying with credit card so it knocked it down to $1,340.  I had to call my husband to confirm paying it before I did.  I was a nervous wreck.  Seriously this is so expensive but not as bad as when i had my accident when we were paying for almost two years later, and it’s been two and half years since the accident.  

We will still need to pay 30% for the hospital stay though.  That won’t change. 

Ugh, finances for crap that I need for my stupid ankle…just makes me upset.  I shouldn’t have to need all this and spend all this money, but I have to accept the fact I need it and get on with it, I guess.
