blind in 2 months

yesterday was my birthday.

joe and i went to the niagra caves in harmony, which is down by iowa.

they were pretty bitchin, kinda creepy, and slimy, AND STEEP, but i liked it. (they shut the lights off when you get to the bottom, to see "total darkness" and they said that within 2 months, you would become blind because your eyes would just give up looking for light!-neat!)

the walk down to the bottom of the cave was OK, but the walk back up nearly killed me! the lowest point, which i where we stopped the tour, was 225 feet below ground. then we had to turn around and walk all the way back up. i was in the lead. i thought i should walk at a steady pace so people wouldnt get mad. which for me is pretty fast. however, i don’t usually climb 225 feet when i go out on a walk!!! by the time we got to the top, i had to stop and sit down, i thought i really was going to pass out. people were staring at me, cuz i was breathing heavily out of my mouth, and i’m sure my eyes looked like they were gonna pop out of my head! but i lived… and discovered that i brought most of the cave home with me on my pant legs and shoes! i wore flared pants, and the bottoms just soaked up all the mud, so i had mud from my ankles to my knees… and then i had to walk around like that for the rest of the day.

we came back to roch and went to TWO FRIENDS (or as it’s really called DOS AMIGOS) i had tamales, which i havent had in YEARS, and i was not as impressed with these ones as the first batch i had. but i think that these ones are homemade, then frozen till someone orders them, the other tamales i had were freshly made, and had chicken, not pork.

stuffed to the gills, we had to go to the clinic to get my hep B shot. what a great way to end the birthday? get poked in the arm!!!

came home and went to my mom’s house. she made a chicken on the ronco and stuffing and corn and cake. ate outside on the deck in the wind storm… hoping it wouldnt rain.

echo bought me a carraige stroller at a garage sale, cute as hell! she’s worried that i’m not gonna use it, but i’m thinking that it’s pretty bitchin’ and i actually will.

got cards from lots of people, more than i expected, and joe’s mom even dropped off my gift on time! (his family is so full of procrastination! i got my wedding gift a year and a half later!!!)

today i’m going to harry potter with my brother (his gift to me) and my sister (his gift to her-her bday is the 24th) and i’m guessing it is going to be PACKED, cuz the movie came out today. but it’s still gonna be a good movie! can’t wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
