quiz night

 

The local pub holds a quiz night every tuesday , we have been there on occasion by accident, they have been a noisey lot in the back ground to our event / dinner / drinks

But .. a few months ago we were there for my sisters Anniversary and decided to join in.

It was fun beyond my dreams .. I had been a few years ago to a different pub with Allycat and her friends , this was different.

So for the last few tuesdays , TOH and I have conned our couple friends to join us .. and last night we won 1st equal to a team that have dominated the leader board..

Ohhhh yes us !!!

No cheating , no cell phone answer checks ,just plain good honest I know the answers fun and we won…

We shared the prize of $140 bar vouchers , and as they do not do a $10 voucher , both teams got $80.

To be used Thurs – Sat. so we will plan at the next quiz night when to come back for dinner..

TOH and I are on a  strict budget saving all we can for the wedding. The quiz is free to enter and they sell $5 handles of beer. for $10 we can have a beer , play the quiz and have a wicked night with mates , all the while learning .. win win.

Last month it was Dinos birthday and we all met there for a few drinks and a pizza .. they have a special VIP card that we use to gain points .. and if you used your card on this day you went in the draw to spin the wheel of prizes.. I won that night and spun a $100 bar tab.. so added to all my points I have enough on my card for the kids birthday party  drinks for the year . 🙂

I am down to 3 boys in care .. I have talked to the universe to supply me with a few over 2 yr olds .. I need a full timer and a part timer. I am just making ends meet with the strict budget and savings , but we are due a rent increase come April and I will fall behind with the savings then.

On track for the wedding we have

– the reception venue booked

-the ceremony park booked

-the cake topper bought on eBay and arrived
