30 min digging work out

I didn’t get to write last night .. I went to TOH’s for the night , those nights will be no longer by the end of the year.

I also didn’t walk for 30 mins , but I made up for it by digging for 30 mins and I certainly had a heart pounding sweat pouring workout doing that ..

I made a new vege patch ..

The Care kids and I planted 3 seed potatos in tyres, they will be filled with dirt as the leaves appear and stacked with anotrher tyre ontop and filled again .. should be good I have done it once before , one potato per stack and it produces enough crop for us anyway .. as an experiment anyway .. maybe when TOH and the kids are all here we will get more into it.

I have one trye left for a yam stack too ….. one of the care kids Dads works at a tyre shop so I have an endless supply .. low profile tyres are best.

I also added blood and bone to a patch and mixed in compost and dug it all over waiting to be planted with Corn.

4 rows with 3 plants per row is the plan.. and 6 red cabbages.

where did you get your yam plants- I would love to get some of those- did not know you had to put dirt over yams like potatos

I grew my potatoes like that last summer but they didn’t do too well. Apparently they get very hot inside the tyres so needs heaps of water and some shade. I hope you have more luck. Let me know how your yams do. I’ve not had much luck with them either. Hopefully your soil is better. hugs P
