I found I was less stressed today getting the house "guest" ready.

I was able to cope with the knowledge that the house was clean .. if not spotlessly tidy.

I am a gracious host.

I love entertaining and having people over for drinks or dinner

I am going to do it more often.

I was not in Crisis clean mode.

Sliding in late today .. opps ..

 

I have a friend coming to stay the weekend from down the Island .. Napier.  4 Hours away.

He is joining us at a birthday party bash for a friend. He arrived last night .. Late, after suffering a tyre blow out 20 mins from here.

Text messages from a loved one made my day.

My Mum is in Brisbane … I think ..lol she flew into Brisbane and then drove an hour, maybe 2 .. I have no idea where my mother is .. but she is with my sister , brother in law and visiting with my Nephew and his wife.. She is nearly 80.. the crazy jet setter.

The Waipa Delta left Hamilton Tuesday , heading for Auckalnd .. the Delta has been a Hamilton attraction for 20 years or so .. (?) It is a replica paddle boat (although the paddles go round by water it is actually a diesel powered boat and the paddles are for show..)

We lost it due to council  bureaucracy  the rules changed and changed and they were never happy .. so the owner up and left.

Sad ..
