ho humm

The winter is upon us .. I have had the heater on most of the afternoon as the temp has got below 16 degrees. Thats the recomended temp when caring for children.

We spent the morning at the Pukemiro Bush tramway .. (not my pic)

We had a ball .. riding in the old carriages , (behind a diesel engine sadly) listening to the train rumbling along the tracks and the whistles. I took 3 of my care kids .. and had 3 families come for the day aswell , all paid for by the company I work for.  In all there were 150 kids and adults from my company.. and as we arrived there was a kindergarten trip there , and they had just been for their train ride and were having morning tea.

Kids Galore

.. I get to cut my gluey knots from my hair tomorrow .. yeah .. I will miss the beanies tho .. I’ve become quite accustomed to them.. and my head feels cold without one.

well I took some really cool pics that I hope to play with and change to black and white of the gnarly old trains and tracks .. I hope to print them and put them in a frame

It all reminds me of my Dad .. he was a fireman in the South Island and worked on Steam trains getting his drivers ticket and we as a family have always had a love of steam engines..

well time to skoot get the boy to Rugby .. back soon

Wow, what an awesome trip, this big kid is fascinated by steam engines but wouldn’t have objected much to the diesel.

When you are getting cold, we are getting hot. It reminds me we are at opposite of the world. 🙂
