Away for the weekend

I took the kids to Hawera for the weekend to stay with friends that moved there Dec last year.

They have been and stayed with us and asked that we come and see where they are.

They call it paradise..lol OMG I agree..

It is 20kms from town .. down a 15km windy narrow road last 5 ks gravel.

The only people that travel that road either live there ,  the postie 3 days a week or visitors.

Huge grounds mature trees tyre swings… Fire place .. roaring fire .. great company. Warm bed .. ensuite in guest room .. OMG .. I am in love.

The weather was awesome Sat.. warm sunny day.

Rained all day today and had to drive in the rain.. 4 hours drive home.

I am ready for bed now..

I must clean out the bird cage to take it back to kindy tomorrow.

Check the boys have their uniforms ready for school .. Holidays over .. YEAH!!!

I have a mountain of washing sitting waiting to be folded.. washed .. hung out .. Ohhh dear looks like I will be up for awhile yet.

See ya people..

🙂

That spot near Hawera sounds like paradise….we live in a beautiful part of the world….must get out and see more of it!

I had to look and see what area of the Islands you were talking about. Sure seems like paradise to me!!! I am quite envious of you and Polly! But then a vicarious life is just another dream in this big dream anyhow. And you are the directors of that and I thank you. have fun…dan

ah yes, a trip to the Taranaki countryside…..the peace and tranquility of the farmhouse sounds divine. So glad you had a neat time…and survived the holidays. hugs P
