For a little lite relief from the daily grind ..

last evening about 6pm I had a knock on the door from a young man .. 37 as it turned out .. canvassing for Greenpeace.

After the initial greetings he smiled and said .. Ohh i remember you from last year.. I always remember the nice ones.

We chatted about my thoughts on rubbish and recycling and pollution.. and his .. at this stage i was transfixed… he could have been selling nuclear weapons i didn’t care.. I was mesmerised by his smile , his eyes and OMG his Northern Californian Accent..

Ok so i am weak…

I signed up for a monthly donation of $20 to Greenpeace and a promise of a magazine with his article in it.. damn it doesn’t come with a voice recording.

He spent nearly 3/4 of an hour at my door while his partner in door canvassing crime did the rest of the street at 3.5 secs per door and then hung about my driveway waiting for me to release her co worker ..lol

We talked about all sorts of things .. his parents mine .. trips to the states .. groceries .. Ahhhhh ..

he lives in the same sleepy beach side town as my mother..

Then he dropped the clanger ..

My partner and I did this and that… Big fat smile……

***EDIT*** a SHE was mentioned as his partner. so he was not Gay .. just to clear that up..

yeah yeah what ever buddy move on now .. ha ha ha

I could have sat and talked to him all night ..

Ohhh I miss my baby in the States.. I miss his sexy voice .. his humor.

Does this ‘partner’ mean he was gay? I can’t seem to figure this out either. Sometimes the gals I have gone with know really early but that doesn’t help me much unless they let me know. I don’t really care who has with who or how so I guess that just leaves me knowing how I am with whoever I am with. That keeps me plenty busy!!! have fun…dan gma’s are still sexy!!!

sounds like the same greenpeace guy ( a real hunk with a great smile) who was doing door-to-door canvassing for them down in Queenstown during winter. He and a mate spent half hour talking with my daughter and I over a cuppa ( yes, she eve asked them in..LOL) and Rachel actually signed up a monthly donation thing with them too… Yep, he could sell ice to eskimos. ( he even make my old heart flutter) hugs and smiles P
