Max

I think I will name the ex – Max. I just don’t like typing "Ex" over and over.

Anyway… it’s Max’s birthday today. I text him, "Happy Birthday. Have a good day and don’t work too hard."

He replied, "Awe. Thanks!!!! I hope you’re doing well!!!"

It made me laugh… That’s the 3rd time he’s text me back with "I hope you’re doing well." He sounds like he doesn’t know what to say anymore.

I know eventually the texting will stop. I know once his dad moves out of my house in March, then we won’t have a reason to keep in touch anymore. Things will fade.

On a side note… I’ve lost 10lbs. This always happens with breakups, so I was expecting it… but damn! 10lbs in less than a month is fast.

If I lose 10 more I’ll weigh what I weighed in high school… which would be pretty awesome actually.

This morning I had coffee, half a bagel, and strawberries.

I feel nauseous already and my day is barely starting.

Blah.

No, you can’t give him that name, not right. I won’t allow it.

I gained all of the 10 pounds that you mentioned in this entry. I get that friendship is a give and take situation, but, I didn’t think that weight was something we have to give and take here, buddy. Bagel does sound really good though. 🙂 I like Max’s name, lol!!! I know it’s something totally different. But, I love you using your Carrie sense and naming people something totally different. 🙂

.. You are right, the texting will stop with time. The calls, the texting, everything else will stop. And of course, it doesn’t mean anything more that your relationship with him has changed. But, of course, it is really hard, and you are doing the best you can do. 🙂 And that’s all you can do. It doesn’t surprise me that you text him.

.. But, Max’s statement about how you are doing well, I think from a guy’s perspective is that you end the conversion saying that because in your heart, you really miss the person and you don’t know (or wanna say) those three little words, “I miss you”. I say this at least in my case, in the many years that I have liked/crushed/etc on girls.

Hahaha. Of all the names out there….. I wish it were Maximus. I’d feel tough. But it’s Maxx. Double the Xs, but it’s okay I refuse to answer to just simple Max so I guess you can continue to call him that.

Thanks. I like to think I’m pretty sexy haha. No but the parents did me a solid on that one. The one night stand won’t happen. I couldn’t follow through with it. We would get to bed and I would probably start to freak out and bail.

Don’t give up. Never know what might happen. Things are ****ty and unfair but not always.

And you shouldn’t get too drunk. You never know what might be waiting for you out here. I’m sorry my attempts at advice aren’t much. But you seem like a good person so I believe you’ll be happy again. In time.
